Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Burna Boy gave the performance of his life in the O2 Brixton Academy in London.
Before greeting the crowd Burna Boy showed a short film of him driving around London getting involved in the culture and being approached by a girl who later sets him up. After a short interlude, the second half of the show commenced with Burna Boy going back to his roots of Afrobeats giving the crowd performances of his classic ‘Hallelujah’. After taking the crowd down memory lane Burna Boy begins to perform Nigeria’s ‘national anthem’ ‘Ye’ but before he could sing a word the crowd started singing it to him. If that was me I would be overwhelmed and something tells me Burna Boy may have been too. This was a great point to end the evening and Burna Boy ended his concert but the crowd continued to sing ‘Ye’ all the way out of O2 Brixton Academy.
